Anyone else feeling the workload creep?

Lately, it feels like my team is being asked to do more with less, even without any official announcements. Projects keep getting piled on, and deadlines seem to be getting tighter. My manager keeps saying 'streamlining' and 'efficiency,' but it just feels like we're stretched too thin. Are others experiencing this? Trying to figure out if this is a company-wide thing or just my specific department/project. Is it just me, or has collaboration also become a bit more difficult? Like people are holding onto information or not as willing to jump in and help as they used to be. Feels like everyone's just trying to keep their heads down and get their own work done. Wondering if this is the calm before a storm, or if this is just the new normal. Any advice on how to handle this increased pressure without burning out? Definitely starting to feel it.

Ugh, I feel this. It's like the goalposts are constantly moving and the 'efficiency' talk is just corporate speak for 'do more with less.' My team's been drowning too, and the constant pressure is really starting to wear people down. We've tried pushing back a bit, asking for reprioritization, but it's like talking to a wall. I'm curious to hear if others are seeing this too, maybe we can collectively figure out a way to push back or at least cope.

Hmm, 'workload creep' is a strong term. While I agree that things can feel busy, I haven't noticed any official changes or an increase in demands that aren't justified by business needs. Perhaps it's worth taking a closer look at individual project scopes and deliverables? Sometimes, a clearer understanding of expectations can alleviate the feeling of being overwhelmed. Maybe a quick sync with your manager to map out current priorities and resources could be beneficial before assuming a company-wide issue?
