Anyone else noticing the hiring freeze creeping into OUS?

Is it just my region or is the headcount control getting aggressive lately? I’ve been hearing whispers about budget tightening for Q3 and Q4, and suddenly two open roles in our sales pod have been pulled without any explanation. Leadership keeps saying we are 'optimizing' but the vibes are definitely shifting. My manager is suddenly obsessed with granular activity logging, which usually happens right before they look for reasons to trim the fat. I’ve been with Align for four years and this feels different than the usual quarterly push. Are you guys seeing similar freezes in your territories or is it business as usual?

It’s definitely not just your region. We’ve seen the same pattern in my pod where headcount requests that were supposedly greenlit suddenly vanished into thin air. Management is definitely nervous about the upcoming quarters, and the push for granular activity logs is a classic precursor to letting people go. It’s stressful, but try not to take the micromanagement personally—it’s just a desperate attempt to show 'productivity' to the upper levels while they look for ways to cut costs. Keep your head down and start quietly updating your resume just in case.
