Impact of new product launches on team structure?

Hey everyone, has anyone else noticed a pretty significant shift in workload and team focus lately? With the recent launches of the new scanners and updates to the Invisalign system, I feel like my department is constantly being pulled in new directions. We're seeing more urgent requests and cross-functional meetings than ever before. I'm trying to figure out if this is just a temporary ramp-up phase or if we're heading towards a more permanent restructuring to support these new initiatives. Wondering if this is a company-wide thing or specific to certain divisions. Any insights from other departments on how they're adapting?

I'm seeing something similar. The new scanner rollout has definitely put a strain on resources. We've had to pull people from other projects to handle the increased demand for training and support. It feels less like a temporary surge and more like the new normal. I'm curious to see if management plans to backfill or reassign roles permanently, or if they expect existing teams to absorb this long-term. It's a lot to juggle without clear direction.

Honestly, it sounds like a typical product launch cycle to me. There's always a period of intense activity and cross-functional collaboration when something new hits the market. Once the initial adoption phase settles down, things usually normalize. I'd recommend focusing on clear communication within your department about priorities and managing expectations. If the workload *doesn't* decrease after a reasonable period, then you might have grounds to discuss permanent structural changes.
