Anyone else feel like headcount is shrinking quietly?

Hey everyone, been at Allegion for a few years now and things have felt...different lately. There haven't been any big announcements or official layoff waves, but I've noticed a lot of people leaving and not a lot of new hires coming in. Some teams seem noticeably smaller than they were even six months ago. It's more of a 'natural attrition' feel, but the pace feels a bit high for that. Projects are getting stretched thin, and there's definitely a bit more pressure on those of us still here. Anyone else picking up on this? Is it just my department, or is this a broader trend across the company? Curious to hear what others are seeing or hearing, especially from those in different divisions. Trying to get a read on the overall health and future headcount situation.

I've been getting a similar vibe. It's the subtle things – fewer people in meetings, projects taking longer to get resourced, and a general feeling of needing to do more with less. It's definitely not the same as it was a couple of years ago. Makes you wonder what the long-term strategy is when it feels like the workforce is slowly being trimmed without clear communication.

I can confirm this. While there haven't been official 'reductions in force,' the gradual reduction in personnel is definitely noticeable. It puts a strain on existing staff and can impact morale and productivity. It would be helpful for leadership to provide some transparency around workforce planning and expectations moving forward.
