Yeah, I'm definitely feeling it too. The 'optimizing' buzzwords are flying around my area as well, and it always seems to translate to more work for the same (or less) resources. Leadership's vagueness is frustrating; it feels like they're either not sure themselves or they're deliberately not sharing to avoid causing panic. It's hard to stay motivated when you're constantly feeling the squeeze and don't have a clear picture of what's coming next. Hopefully, it's just a temporary phase, but it does make you wonder about long-term stability.
Honestly, I'm not entirely sure it's anything new. There have always been budget cycles and periods of 're-evaluation' at companies this size. While I get the frustration with the lack of clear communication, sometimes that's just how corporate strategy rolls out – slowly and deliberately. Instead of focusing too much on the 'uncertainty,' maybe concentrate on what you *can* control within your team and deliver solid results. That's usually the best defense when things feel a bit shaky.
