Anyone else noticing a slowdown in opportunities?

Hey everyone, been with Allegion for a few years now, and lately, something feels off. I've been keeping an eye on internal postings and even casually browsing external roles, and it just seems like there are way fewer opportunities popping up than usual. My team hasn't had anyone leave voluntarily in a while, which is good, but the internal transfer process also seems to be taking ages, if it's even happening. I haven't heard any official word about freezes or anything, but the vibe is definitely different. My manager is tight-lipped as usual, and HR just gives generic platitudes. Just wondering if anyone else is picking up on this, or if it's just my department/location. Trying to gauge the temperature here before I get too worried.

I've definitely felt a similar shift. It's been noticeably quieter on the internal job board, and even when roles do post, the timeline for getting them filled seems stretched out. It makes you wonder if there's a general hiring pause happening that hasn't been formally communicated, or if it's just a seasonal lull. My department has been pretty stable too, so it's not just new openings drying up, but also movement within the company seems to be on hold. Hoping things pick up soon.

Interesting to hear that. I hadn't picked up on a slowdown myself, but I haven't been actively looking for internal moves lately. My impression has been that things are fairly steady, though I can see how less voluntary turnover could contribute to fewer openings. It's possible different departments are experiencing different levels of activity. I'll keep a closer eye on the internal postings now that you've raised this; it's always good to be aware of the broader company trends.
