Is anyone else finding it harder to get resources approved?

Seriously, I feel like I'm fighting tooth and nail for even the smallest things these days. Need a new piece of equipment for my team? Months of justification. Want to send someone to a critical training? Suddenly it's a huge ask. It used to be that if you had a solid business case, it was a done deal. Now, it feels like every dollar is being scrutinized to an insane degree. Is this just a new company-wide cost-saving push, or is it a sign of something bigger? Curious if others are experiencing this bottleneck and what the implications might be.

I've noticed the same thing over here. It definitely feels like the approval process has tightened up considerably in the last year or so. My team had to put together a massive business case just to get a couple of new laptops, and even then, it took ages. I'm not sure if it's a company-wide mandate or just a general belt-tightening, but it's making it tough to stay efficient. Maybe we need to start pooling resources or looking for creative workarounds?

Hmm, I haven't personally felt that squeeze yet, but my department is pretty self-sufficient in terms of equipment and training budgets. However, I have heard whispers from colleagues in other areas about longer approval cycles. It could be a departmental thing, or perhaps specific initiatives are facing more scrutiny. It might be worth checking if there are any new capital expenditure policies or budget freezes that haven't been widely communicated yet. Sometimes it's just a matter of understanding the current financial climate within the company.
