I've noticed the same shift in emphasis. 'Efficiency' has always been a buzzword, but the current push feels more like a directive than a suggestion. It's understandable that a large company would look for ways to trim fat, but the underlying message seems to be about doing more with fewer resources. I'm curious to see if this translates into actual improvements for employees or if it's just a corporate talking point that will fade away.
This 'efficiency drive' is definitely a hot topic. My team's workload hasn't changed, but the expectation to complete tasks faster and with fewer steps is palpable. It's hard not to wonder if this is a precursor to something bigger, like layoffs or a restructuring. While I appreciate the goal of being more effective, the constant pressure without clear communication about the 'why' is creating a lot of anxiety.
