It is exhausting to watch. Every quarter feels like a game of musical chairs where the music never actually stops, but another seat gets pulled away. Leadership loves to hide behind corporate jargon like 'efficiency' and 'optimization,' but we all know it’s just a slow bleed. When your own manager refuses to look you in the eye or give a straight answer, you know the culture is already gone. At this point, the best career move is polishing your resume while the ship is still afloat.
Honestly, the constant dread is exactly what they want. If they keep everyone off balance and worried about their standing, nobody has the energy to push back on the ridiculous directives coming down the pipe. It’s a classic management strategy to demoralize the workforce into compliance. Stop losing sleep over a company that sees you as a line item on a spreadsheet. Focus your energy on networking outside of this place, because eventually, the 'Transformative Growth' model is going to transform us all right out the door.
