Anyone else feeling the pressure at Allstate lately?

Hey everyone, throwing this out there anonymously. Been at Allstate for a few years now in [Department, e.g., IT/Claims/Underwriting]. Lately, it feels like the workload has been ramping up considerably. Deadlines seem tighter, projects are piling on, and there's a constant sense of urgency. I'm finding it harder to keep my head above water, and the team seems to be feeling it too. We're short-staffed in a few areas, and it feels like the remaining people are expected to pick up the slack. Just wondering if this is a widespread feeling across different departments or if it's just my team/location. Has anyone else noticed this? Any strategies for managing the increased pressure or insights into why this might be happening?

Yeah, I've definitely noticed the increased pace and pressure. It feels like there's a lot of emphasis on hitting certain metrics, and that trickles down to us on the ground. The feeling of being stretched thin is real, and it's tough when you want to do good work but are constantly fighting fires. Hope things ease up soon.

Completely understand where you're coming from. The demands feel significantly higher than even a year or two ago. It's frustrating to see the workload increase without a corresponding increase in resources. The impact on morale is definitely noticeable. It makes you wonder about the long-term sustainability of this pace.
