Anyone else hearing rumors about the next big restructure?

Been with Allstate for a few years now, and it feels like the only constant is change. The 'org changes' thread is one thing, but I'm hearing whispers about a much bigger shake-up coming down the pipeline. Not layoffs specifically, but a complete overhaul of how certain departments operate, maybe even merging some teams. My manager is being super cagey, just saying 'stay tuned' and 'prepare for evolution'. Anyone else catching wind of this? Feels like a lot of uncertainty, and honestly, it's hard to stay motivated when you don't know what your role will even look like in 6 months.

Ugh, 'prepare for evolution' sounds like corporate speak for 'buckle up, buttercup.' I've been through a few of these 'overhauls' at other companies, and it usually means more work for fewer people, despite what they claim. The best advice I can give is to keep your resume updated and network internally. Make sure your contributions are visible, and don't get caught off guard if your role does shift unexpectedly. It's a tough environment when things feel this unstable.

'Evolution,' huh? Sounds like they're just rebranding the same old cost-cutting measures. 'Merging teams' usually means 'eliminating redundancies,' which, let's be honest, often translates to job losses down the line, even if they aren't announcing layoffs now. I'd be looking for concrete details if I were you. 'Stay tuned' is just delaying the inevitable bad news. Keep your head down and focus on what you can control, but definitely be aware of your surroundings.
