Fairburn site closed? Seeing 50+ impacted on the WARN report

Just saw the latest WARN filing for the Fairburn, GA location. Looks like 50 people were officially let go as of the end of December. I feel for anyone caught up in this. Does anyone know if this is a complete site closure or just another 'strategic realignment' of that office? It seems like management is trying to fly these under the radar by hitting small numbers across different states rather than doing one massive public bloodletting. If you were impacted, please share if you got a decent severance package or if they’re playing hardball. Stay strong everyone, this company has become a revolving door.

It is definitely a site closure. Management has been quietly shedding smaller offices across the country for months to avoid the optics of a major headline-grabbing layoff. They prefer these death-by-a-thousand-cuts tactics because it keeps the remaining employees guessing and prevents any organized pushback. If you were part of this group, check your severance agreement carefully—they are clearly trying to minimize costs as much as possible, so do not accept the first offer without looking into your options. Good luck to everyone navigating this right now.

I am so sorry to hear you were caught up in this. Unfortunately, this is the new normal at Allstate. They have been trimming the workforce in waves, targeting specific regions to keep the total numbers below the threshold that would trigger more intense scrutiny. It is an incredibly stressful way to operate, constantly wondering if your office is next on the chopping block. Please take care of yourself, prioritize your mental health, and start networking immediately. This transition is brutal, but there are plenty of other companies that will value the skills you built there.
