Altria - Downsizing rumors or just belt-tightening?

Hey everyone, been working at Altria for a few years now and lately, the vibe feels...off. Not hearing any concrete layoff news, but there's definitely a lot of hushed conversations in the break room and Slack channels are a bit quieter than usual. Management's been big on 'efficiency' and 'streamlining' lately, which is code for 'watch your back' in my book. Performance reviews also seemed a little harsher this past cycle, with more people getting 'meets expectations' instead of the usual 'exceeds expectations'. Anyone else picking up on this? Is it just the general economic climate affecting consumer goods, or is something specific brewing at MO?
