Altria: Anyone else bracing for impact after Q4?

Alright, confession time. I'm pretty new to the Altria scene, and just coming off my first Q4 here. The numbers didn't exactly blow anyone away, and the investor calls seemed a bit... tense. Now I'm seeing a lot more internal emails about 'optimization' and 'streamlining operations.' It's making me a little nervous, honestly. With the pressure to perform and all this talk about efficiency, I can't shake the feeling that some departments might be on the chopping block soon. Haven't heard any direct rumors of layoffs, but the writing feels like it might be on the wall. Anyone else in a similar boat or have insights into how MO typically handles these kinds of pressures? Trying to prepare myself mentally.

Yeah, I've been in Altria for a few cycles now and Q4 always feels like a bit of a pressure cooker. This year with the 'optimization' talk, it does feel like there's more undercurrent than usual. Management seems to be really focused on the bottom line, which is understandable, but the language around streamlining has definitely raised some eyebrows in my corner of the company too. Keeping an eye on things, for sure.
