I'm right there with you. There's definitely a palpable tension in the air. My department's been hearing whispers about budget reviews and efficiency drives, which usually precede some form of restructuring. It's hard not to feel anxious when you see projects getting scrutinized more than usual and the usual holiday spirit seems a little muted. Trying to stay focused on my work, but the uncertainty is definitely a strain.
Yeah, the industry-wide concerns definitely amplify any internal quietness. We haven't had any direct communication about layoffs, but there's a noticeable slowdown in new initiatives being approved and a lot more emphasis on ROI for everything. It feels like management is hunkering down, waiting for a clearer economic picture. Hopefully, it's just a cyclical lull and not a sign of deeper issues.
