Anyone else feeling the squeeze from these Amazon cuts?

Another round of Amazon layoffs, and this time the news is pointing to Florida. It's getting harder and harder to ignore the constant stream of bad news coming out of these big tech companies. I've been hearing whispers about streamlining and 'long-term priorities' for a while now, which is corporate speak for cutting headcount. Makes you wonder what the actual long-term strategy is when it involves displacing so many people. Are they really building something better, or just trying to shave costs before the next economic downturn? Feels like a lot of people are being sacrificed for short-term gains. I'm not directly impacted this time, but it's a grim reminder of how precarious things can be.

It's definitely a worrying trend, and not just with Amazon. It feels like every major tech company is undergoing some kind of 'reorganization' lately, which usually translates to fewer jobs. I keep hearing the same buzzwords about efficiency and pivoting, but it's hard not to see it as a systematic dismantling. Makes you question the stability of the whole industry, even for those who managed to keep their positions.

I'm not surprised at all. The constant push for growth and shareholder value at all costs means these companies are always looking for ways to cut expenses, and people are often the first to go. It's a tough market out there, and seeing this happen even at a giant like Amazon just adds to the general anxiety. Hoping for better news soon, but it feels unlikely.
