Anyone else seeing the 'restructuring' emails go out today?

Just got the invite for a 'team sync' meeting in an hour that looks suspiciously generic. No agenda, no manager listed, just a block on the calendar. I’ve been through this dance twice already in the last eighteen months, so I know exactly what it means. It’s always the same vague language about 'aligning resources' and 'shifting focus to high-priority initiatives' while the stock price keeps climbing. I’m an L5 in Jersey City and the mood here has been absolutely toxic for weeks. If I’m on the block, I honestly don't even have the energy to fight it anymore. The job market is completely saturated, and I’m tired of prepping for coding interviews while holding my breath every Tuesday morning. Is anyone actually seeing these headcount cuts move to your department, or is this just another round of quiet culling?

I received the exact same calendar invite this morning. It’s infuriating how they hide behind corporate buzzwords like 'resource alignment' instead of just being honest with us. I’ve spent the last three years hitting every metric, and the lack of transparency is honestly demoralizing. At this point, I’m just waiting for the email to hit my personal account so I can finally stop checking Slack. Good luck, hope you land on your feet wherever you go next.

Honestly, if you've been through two rounds already, you know the drill. That generic meeting invite is basically a death sentence for your access. Stop checking the stock price or worrying about the toxic office vibe—it isn't worth your mental health. Just start downloading your performance reviews and internal contact lists while you still have internal server access. The company treats us like disposable code, so don't feel bad about doing whatever you need to do to get a severance package.
