Ugh, I feel this. My manager has been acting weird too since the announcement. Usually, they're super communicative, even about tough stuff, but now it's just been silence and really generic emails. It's definitely unnerving. I've been trying to remind myself that maybe they're swamped with their own meetings and dealing with the fallout, but it’s hard not to spiral a bit when you're left in the dark. Keep your chin up, hoping it's just a weird phase.
Honestly, this is probably a good sign for your manager. If they're silent, it might mean they're focusing on managing upwards and protecting their team's resources rather than getting bogged down in the day-to-day. They might be in survival mode themselves, trying to keep their own head above water. Don't read too much into the crickets, it could be strategy. Try to focus on your own work and be indispensable, that's your best bet right now.
