Florida warehouse impact from latest cuts?

Just saw the news about the latest round of layoffs, and it mentioned Florida specifically. Anyone else in one of the FL warehouses get hit or hear anything concrete about what divisions/teams are most affected? My team hasn't said anything directly, but there's definitely a weird vibe going around. Feels like more than just 'streamlining' this time. Heard from a friend in a different building that a whole shift got the axe. Anyone have intel from the ground?

Yeah, I'm at the Lakeland sort center and we definitely felt something. Not official cuts for my specific role yet, but voluntary separation packages went out to a bunch of people in outbound logistics and inventory control last week. Management's been super tight-lipped, which isn't helping the anxiety. Everyone's just kind of looking over their shoulder. Heard rumors about the night shift being consolidated too. Hope your team stays safe, it's a rough situation.

Honestly, I think people are overreacting. Amazon always has seasonal adjustments and efficiency drives. 'Streamlining' is usually code for 'making more money.' Unless your manager directly told you that your position is being eliminated, I wouldn't sweat it too much. Focus on doing your job well and documenting your achievements. If something does happen, you'll be in a better position to negotiate or find something else. Don't let the office gossip get to you.
