How to prep for interviews if things get dicey?

I'm a PM in one of the advertising orgs, been here for 6 years. While I haven't heard any direct layoff news for my group, the general market chatter and some internal reshuffling have me a little nervous. I haven't seriously interviewed in years. What are the key things to brush up on? LeetCode for PMs? System Design still a thing? Behavioral questions? Any advice on tailoring the resume to highlight impact given the current climate would be great too. Just want to be prepared in case.

Hey, totally get the anxiety. Six years is a long time to be out of the interview loop. For PM roles at Amazon, especially after that long, you'll definitely want to refresh your system design. They still test your ability to think at scale and understand technical trade-offs, even for PMs. Behavioral questions are huge, of course – STAR method is your friend. Focus on the Leadership Principles (LPs) and have concrete examples ready. Don't underestimate LeetCode for PMs either; while not always a direct requirement for PM, it shows problem-solving chops and can be a differentiator, especially if you're looking at more technical PM roles or even leadership. Good luck!

Honestly, if you're an internal PM and have been there 6 years, your best bet is probably leveraging your internal network. Start talking to people in orgs you might be interested in. A referral goes a *long* way at Amazon. Reshuffling often means opportunities within the company. Focus on documenting your accomplishments and quantifying impact – that's always key. Don't get too bogged down in LeetCode unless you're targeting a very specific, highly technical PM role. Your tenure and experience are likely your biggest assets.
