AEP - Management talking about 'efficiency' lately?

Been hearing a lot of buzzwords in meetings lately, specifically around 'streamlining operations' and 'driving efficiencies'. Normally, I wouldn't think twice about it, but it feels different this time. More frequent, more intense. Is anyone else picking up on this? Feels like a lead-up to something, and given the industry pressures, layoffs aren't exactly off the table. Just trying to gauge if the anxiety is localized or if it's a wider feeling across the company. Anyone have any inside info or just a general gut feeling they want to share? Trying to stay positive but also be realistic.

I've been noticing that too. The focus on 'efficiency' feels more pronounced than usual. Management's been pushing hard on these concepts in department meetings, and it does create a bit of unease. While I'm trying to stay optimistic and focus on my work, it's hard not to wonder what the ultimate goal is. Layoffs would be a tough pill to swallow, especially with the current economic climate. Hopefully, it's just a push for better processes and not something more drastic.

Definitely picking up on the 'efficiency' talk. It's become a recurring theme in almost every all-hands call and internal memo. While I appreciate the company striving to be more competitive, the intensity is a bit alarming. I'm hoping it translates into smarter workflows and resource allocation, rather than a reduction in force. It would be helpful to have more transparency from leadership about what these initiatives actually entail and what the expected outcomes are.
