AEP - Performance reviews and compensation discussions lately?

Just finished up my annual performance review at AEP and the conversation around compensation felt... different this year. Usually, there's a clear path or at least some indication of what to expect based on performance and market rates. This time around, it felt a bit more vague, with a lot of emphasis on 'contributing to company goals' without concrete numbers or raises tied to it. Anyone else experience this? It's making me a bit uneasy about where my salary stands within the company, especially with the cost of living going up. Wondering if this is a company-wide trend or just my specific team/manager.

Yeah, I felt that too during my review. The focus seemed to be heavily on broader company objectives rather than individual performance metrics directly translating into tangible compensation adjustments. It left me wondering about the actual impact of hitting my targets if the salary increases aren't clearly linked. Makes it hard to gauge future earnings potential and feel motivated when the financial rewards feel so disconnected from the work itself. Hopefully, they clarify this soon.
