It’s official. Just saw the WARN filing for the Lodi location. 189 employees getting the axe on November 6th. Honestly, I’m not even surprised anymore given the direction leadership has been taking this year, but it still stings to see the number in black and white. For those of us who have been grinding here for years, it feels like the culture has completely shifted. I know a few folks who are already scrambling to update their resumes and hitting LinkedIn hard. If you’re in the Lodi office, I’m truly sorry you’re going through this. Does anyone have any internal intel on whether this is the end of the cuts for this facility or if there’s a second phase coming? Really trying to decide if it’s time to jump ship now before the job market gets even more crowded or if I should wait for the potential severance package. Stay safe out there everyone.

It is honestly heartbreaking to see the Lodi office go through this. I’ve heard rumors for weeks that major cuts were coming, but seeing that specific number of 189 makes it feel so much more real. Another day, another round of layoffs at AEP. At this point, I think everyone knows that no department is truly safe regardless of how hard they work or what their metrics look like. Management keeps talking about streamlining and efficiency, but it just feels like they are hollowing out the entire company. To everyone in Lodi, I am so sorry you are dealing with this right before the holidays. Keep your heads up and start networking aggressively because this environment is only going to get more cutthroat.
