I've definitely noticed a change too. It feels like there's more pressure to hit metrics, and the 'efficiency' talk is constant. While I understand the need to adapt, it does make you wonder about job security and the long-term direction. Performance reviews felt a bit more scrutinized this year, and the feedback, even when positive, came with a lot of caveats about future expectations. It's a bit unsettling, and I'm trying to stay optimistic while also being realistic about the current climate.
Interesting to hear you say that. I haven't felt a huge shift myself, but I'm in a different department. I do hear colleagues discussing the 'streamlining' initiatives, and there's definitely an underlying current of uncertainty about what it all means. My performance review was fine, but I know some people who had tougher conversations. Perhaps the energy is felt more acutely in certain areas of the business than others. Hard to say without more data points, but your observation is definitely noted.
