Amex - Anyone else feel the budget cuts are getting serious?

Is it just me, or are the budget cuts at Amex becoming more pronounced? We used to have a decent budget for team events, training, and even some nice-to-haves for the office. Now, everything feels like it's under a microscope. My manager had to get multiple approvals just to order new ergonomic chairs, which is wild. Travel for conferences is almost non-existent unless it's absolutely mission-critical. Even simple things like software licenses are being scrutinized. It feels like the company is tightening its belt considerably. Wondering if this is a sign of underlying financial pressure or just a general cost-saving initiative across the board. Anyone in other departments seeing the same thing? Makes you wonder what's really going on behind the scenes.
