Amex - Seeing more 'reorganizations' lately?

Hey everyone, been at Amex for a few years now, and lately, it feels like there's been a lot of talk about 'reorganizations' and 'efficiency drives' across different departments. It's not like official layoff announcements or anything, but there are definitely whispers and a general sense of unease. Teams are being shuffled, roles are being redefined, and there's a definite push to consolidate responsibilities. Anyone else in other divisions experiencing something similar? Wondering if this is a precursor to something bigger or just standard corporate restructuring. The vibe feels a bit different than usual, more uncertain. Just trying to get a pulse on what's happening beyond my immediate team.

Yeah, I've noticed that too, though in a different area of the company. It feels like a lot of shuffling and restructuring is happening. Absolutely. The 'efficiency drive' buzzwords are everywhere. It's creating a bit of a nervous energy, even if there haven't been direct cuts. Seems like a lot of re-evaluation of how work gets done, which can be a good thing in theory, but the execution feels a bit chaotic right now. Hope it leads to clearer roles eventually.
