Alright ATC folks, performance review season is rolling around again, and I gotta say, the vibe this year feels… different. Usually, it's a bit stressful but predictable. This time, with all the talk about 'streamlining' and 'optimizing resources' floating around, I'm a bit on edge. Are these reviews going to be more about justification and less about actual contributions? Has anyone heard anything about how performance metrics might be weighted differently this cycle? Feeling like I need to have every single accomplishment documented down to the minute. Just hoping this isn't a prelude to anything more serious down the line. Curious to hear if others are feeling this heightened sense of anxiety around reviews, or if I'm just overthinking it. What are your strategies for navigating this time of year?

Totally feel you on this. The 'streamlining' buzzwords have definitely put a damper on the usual review excitement. I'm trying to focus on documenting my wins and specific projects, but it's hard not to worry about how 'optimization' might be interpreted. Fingers crossed it's more about recognizing good work than a thinly veiled cost-cutting exercise.

Yeah, the uncertainty is palpable this year. It's like they're asking us to justify our existence more than ever. I've been going back through my achievements from the past year, trying to quantify everything as much as possible. Hopefully, that proactive approach will speak for itself, regardless of how they're weighting things behind the scenes.
