Yeah, I've definitely noticed a shift too. Been in ops for a bit longer than you, and the constant push for immediate numbers over any kind of strategic planning is making things tough. It feels like we're just chasing our tails sometimes, and the lack of clear direction from above is really demotivating. Hopefully, this is just a temporary thing and things will stabilize soon, but it's hard to stay optimistic when you're feeling the pinch on a daily basis. Keep your eyes open and maybe start updating that resume just in case.
Restructuring rumors are always flying around in this industry, especially with tower companies. Don't put too much stock in whispers until you see actual official announcements or tangible changes. Focus on what you can control: your own performance and keeping your skill set sharp. If you're truly concerned about job security, discretely start networking with people at other companies and see what opportunities are out there. Better to be proactive than blindsided, but don't let the hearsay stress you out too much.
