I've definitely noticed a similar trend over here in the network operations side. We've had a couple of critical positions open for months with no real movement. It feels like more than just slow recruiting; the silence from HR is pretty telling. It's creating some strain on the existing team trying to cover the gaps. Hoping for some clarity soon, but preparing for the possibility of a freeze.
Same story in my group. We had a couple of promising candidates get ghosted after initial interviews, and then the postings just disappeared. Management is tight-lipped, which isn't helping morale. It’s hard to plan for future projects when you don't know if you'll have the headcount to support them. Definitely feels like a freeze, or at least a very significant slowdown.
