ATC - Morale seems to be taking a hit

Just wanted to vent a little, or maybe see if others feel this way. It feels like the unspoken anxiety is getting louder around here. Management's messaging is all positive spins about 'strategic realignment' and 'optimizing operations,' but it doesn't really resonate when you see budgets tightening and projects getting shelved unexpectedly. People are starting to look over their shoulders more. The usual water cooler chat is shifting from 'what's the next big deal?' to 'is my team safe?'. I haven't seen any official announcements, and I know that's what we're all waiting for, but the general vibe is definitely one of unease. Anyone else picking up on this? It's tough to stay motivated when you're not sure what the future holds.

I hear you. That disconnect between the official narrative and the reality on the ground is palpable. It's tough when you're trying to do your job well, and the rug feels like it could be pulled out from under you at any moment. Yeah, that feeling of unease is definitely shared by many. It’s hard to stay motivated when the focus seems to shift away from growth and towards cost-cutting, even if they try to frame it positively. The talk around the office has definitely changed, and it's not about exciting new ventures anymore. Hoping things stabilize soon so we can get back to feeling more secure in our roles.
