Performance reviews and potential impact on roles at American Tower

So, performance review season is upon us at ATC, and the vibe this year feels different. Usually, it's just the standard yearly check-in, maybe some goal adjustments. But this time, there's a lot of talk about 'performance calibration' and 'organizational alignment.' Honestly, it's making me a bit anxious. It feels like more than just a routine review; it feels like they're identifying who is 'essential' versus who might be… redundant. Has anyone else gotten this impression from their managers or HR during review discussions? It’s hard to read between the lines, but the language seems a bit sharper this year. Wondering if this is a precursor to anything, or if I'm just overthinking it because of the general market conditions.

I'm hearing similar things. The language definitely seems to have shifted from just assessing individual performance to a broader look at team structure and contributions. It's hard not to feel a bit uneasy when words like 'calibration' and 'alignment' are thrown around so heavily. I'm trying to focus on documenting my accomplishments and contributions clearly, but the uncertainty is definitely a bit stressful. Hope it's just standard corporate speak and doesn't lead to anything drastic.
