Hey everyone, Just wanted to start a thread here as I've been seeing some weird vibes at my Ametek location lately. Nothing concrete has been announced, no official layoff news, but there's definitely a sense of unease. Some projects seem to be on hold, there's a bit of a hiring freeze in some areas, and general chatter about 'optimizing resources.' It's starting to get to me, and I'm wondering if others are experiencing something similar across different Ametek divisions or sites. Is anyone hearing anything concrete, even whispers, about potential cuts or restructures? Or is it just my site/division feeling this way? Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or something more localized. Any insights or similar observations would be appreciated. Just trying to get a clearer picture and not spiral alone. Yeah, I'm picking up on similar signals at my site. There's been a definite slowdown in new initiatives and a few key people have been moved around unexpectedly. It feels like management is tightening the belt, but without any clear communication, it's hard not to speculate. Definitely creating some anxiety for the team here.

Interesting to hear others are feeling this too. We've had a few 'efficiency drives' lately, which mostly translate to more work for fewer people. The hiring freeze is real, and even essential roles are taking forever to get approved. Makes you wonder what the long-term strategy is if they're pulling back so hard now.
