Yeah, I definitely felt that too. My review was all about hitting very specific, aggressive targets, and any deviation was met with a lot of pushback. It's frustrating because a lot of those metrics feel out of our direct control, and it ignores the collaborative effort that goes into actual problem-solving. It makes you wonder what's really driving these changes at the top.
Interesting to hear others are experiencing the same. My manager was very focused on 'optimizing resource allocation' and 'driving productivity,' which translated into a lot of pointed questions about my time management and output. It felt less like a developmental conversation and more like an audit. I'm hoping this is just a temporary phase due to market conditions or something similar, but it's definitely creating a tense atmosphere.
