Ametek - Increased workload and project scope, anyone else?

Lately, my team's been getting hit with more and more projects, and the scope on existing ones seems to be expanding without a corresponding increase in headcount. Feels like we're being asked to do more with less, and the deadlines are getting tighter. Management keeps talking about 'efficiency' and 'optimization', but it's starting to feel like a pressure cooker. Is this happening across other divisions or am I just in a particularly intense spot? Trying to figure out if it's a company-wide push or just my department. Just curious to see if others are feeling this crunch. Trying to stay positive and get the work done, but it's definitely noticeable.

Yeah, I'm seeing something similar in my department. It feels like the business development team is really pushing to bring in new work, but the operational capacity isn't keeping pace. We're constantly scrambling to meet new demands while also trying to keep existing projects on track. The 'efficiency' talk is definitely there, but it often translates to more stress and longer hours for the folks actually doing the work. Curious to hear if others are experiencing this too.

Totally feel you on the 'pressure cooker' analogy. While I haven't seen a drastic increase in project volume, the scope creep on what we *do* have has been significant. It's like every stakeholder wants 'just one more thing' added, and it all piles up. The efficiency narrative is constant, but the actual resources aren't materializing, leading to that 'doing more with less' feeling. Hopeful for some clarification on resource allocation soon.
