Amgen - Anyone else notice a hiring freeze/slowdown?

Hey all, I've been seeing a lot of roles at Amgen that have been open for months, and a couple of new postings seem to have vanished within days of appearing. Just wondering if anyone else on the inside has heard anything or noticed a general slowdown in hiring? Been trying to get a friend in, and it's been radio silence. Not sure if it's just market conditions hitting biotech, or something more specific to Amgen right now. Curious about the vibe out there.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. A few positions my team was trying to backfill have been stuck in the pipeline for ages, and we were told to hold off on posting new requisitions for a bit. It's definitely a different pace than it was even six months ago. Not sure if it's budget related or just a strategic pause, but the silence is palpable across departments. Good luck to your friend, though; sometimes things move in mysterious ways.

Interesting you bring this up. I haven't heard any official announcements about a hiring freeze, but the lack of movement on several key roles I've been tracking definitely suggests a slowdown. It's making it tough to get new talent in the door, and the whole process feels more protracted than usual. I'm hoping it's a temporary situation and not a sign of deeper issues within the company's growth plans.
