Lately, it feels like the bar has been raised significantly at Amgen. My team, and others I've spoken to informally, are seeing increased pressure on deliverables and a tighter focus on output. It's not necessarily outright layoffs, but the workload and the scrutiny feel different. Performance metrics seem more stringent, and there's a general sense of 'do more with less.' Is this just my perception, or are others experiencing a similar tightening? Wondering if this is a precursor to anything bigger, or just a standard end-of-year push amplified. I've noticed a similar trend. The pace feels accelerated, and the expectations for what we can achieve within certain timelines seem to have shifted upwards. It's created a more demanding environment, definitely. I'm trying to stay positive and focus on what I can control, but the added pressure is palpable across different departments I interact with.
