Amphenol: Projects slowing down, anyone else notice?

Hey folks, been at Amphenol for a few years now, mostly in engineering. Lately, I've noticed a definite slowdown on a few key projects. Stuff that was supposed to be moving full steam ahead is now on hold or significantly scaled back. My manager's being pretty tight-lipped, just saying 'resource reallocation' and 'strategic shifts.' It's making me a bit uneasy, not gonna lie. The team vibe has also shifted a bit – more hushed conversations, less of the usual banter. Has anyone else in different departments or locations seen similar trends? Wondering if this is company-wide or just my division. Trying not to jump to conclusions, but the gut feeling isn't great.

Yeah, I'm seeing something similar in my department. We've had a couple of deadlines pushed back with very little explanation, just vague talk about 'priorities changing.' It's definitely a different atmosphere than it was even six months ago. Used to feel like we were constantly chasing the next big thing, now it feels more like we're waiting. Hoping it's just a seasonal dip or something, but it's hard not to worry when things get so quiet.

Interesting you bring this up. While I haven't experienced project stalls directly, there's been a noticeable increase in internal training sessions focused on 'efficiency improvements' and 'streamlining processes.' It feels like management is gearing up for something, but whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is anyone's guess. The lack of transparency is the most unsettling part. Makes you wonder what's really going on behind the scenes.
