Question about Ansys compensation benchmarks

Hi all, thinking about my current compensation at Ansys and trying to gauge if I'm in the right ballpark for my role and experience level. I'm a mid-level engineer (say, 5-7 years experience) in a fairly high COL area. I know Ansys is a pretty stable company, but I'm curious about what others are seeing in terms of base salary, bonus structure, and any equity components. Are the recent market shifts impacting compensation discussions? I'm not necessarily looking to jump ship, but want to make sure my compensation is competitive. Any insights on typical salary ranges for similar roles would be super helpful, especially if you're willing to share your general location and level. Trying to gather some real-world data points. Thanks in advance!

Compensation can be tricky to nail down, especially in a field like engineering where specialized skills command a premium. For mid-level roles in high COL areas, I've seen a wide range. Base salaries can fluctuate based on the specific team and project demands. Bonus structures often tie into company performance and individual contributions, so understanding those metrics is key. Equity, if offered, adds another layer. It's wise to research salary surveys specific to software engineering and your region to get a clearer picture.

Ansys has historically been known for competitive compensation, but market shifts are definitely a factor. Recent economic trends have put pressure on some tech companies, leading to adjustments in hiring and compensation strategies. When discussing your package, focus on your unique contributions and the value you bring. Highlighting specific achievements and skills that align with Ansys's business goals can strengthen your position. Networking with colleagues internally might also offer some informal insights into current compensation trends within the company.
