Anyone else seeing delays in approvals and budget requests?

Been seeing a lot of extended timelines for simple budget approvals lately. It feels like everything is getting extra scrutiny, even things that used to be fairly straightforward. Managers seem hesitant to commit, and there's a lot of 'we need to re-evaluate' or 'let's revisit this next quarter.' It's making planning really difficult and impacting project kick-offs. Just wondering if this is an isolated thing in my department or if others are experiencing a similar drag on decision-making. Makes you wonder what's going on behind the scenes.

Yeah, definitely feel this. We've been hitting similar roadblocks, especially with anything that wasn't initially in the Q1 budget. I've noticed it too, though maybe in a slightly different way. It feels less like scrutiny and more like inertia. People are busy, and pushing for approvals feels like an extra burden. We've had to get really proactive in following up and providing extra justification, even for small amounts. It's definitely a shift from how things used to operate, and it's tough to get momentum going on new initiatives when the funding gets tied up.
