Are we just... treading water right now?

Just feeling really stagnant lately. It feels like we're waiting for something, but nobody's saying what. Projects are moving at a snail's pace, and there's this weird quietness from leadership. No big announcements, no new initiatives, just… inertia. The 'hiring freeze' is definitely real, at least in my division. We've had roles open for months with no movement. Even internal transfers seem to be on hold. Anyone else getting this vibe? It's not panic-inducing yet, but it's definitely unsettling. Feels like we're just holding our breath.

Yeah, the "snail's pace" is spot on. I've noticed it in my team as well. We're not getting the green light on some smaller initiatives that would normally be approved quickly. It's definitely a weird time. It's easy to get discouraged, but I'm trying to trust that there's a reason behind it, even if it's not communicated. Let's hope this quiet period leads to something significant rather than just continued stagnation. My fingers are crossed.
