Been hearing weird things about restructuring in certain departments.

Okay, so I haven't heard any *official* word about layoffs, but I've been picking up some strange vibes lately. Some teams seem to be getting reorganized pretty heavily, and a few key people in my extended network have suddenly gone quiet or aren't responding to messages. It's not just my department either. This feels different than just normal business changes. Anyone else in a different area of the company seeing similar shifts or hearing any concrete information about potential reorganizations that might impact headcount? Trying to get a clearer picture of what's happening beyond the surface level. It's making people nervous.

Yeah, I've noticed some odd things too. My team had a surprise meeting last week where our manager was very cagey about future projects. Said things were 'in flux' and to just focus on current deliverables. It's definitely unsettling when you can't get straight answers. Keep your resume updated just in case, I always say. Better to be prepared than caught off guard, especially if there's any truth to these whispers. Fingers crossed it's just a temporary blip and not a major overhaul.

Restructuring happens all the time in big companies. People leave, roles change. Unless there's actual proof of layoffs or a company-wide announcement, I wouldn't jump to conclusions. Could be a simple departmental realignment to improve efficiency or shift focus. That 'quiet' network might just be busy or on vacation. Let's not get ourselves into a panic based on rumors and 'vibes'. Focus on your work and see what unfolds officially.
