I'm seeing the same thing in my division. It's definitely frustrating to have promising candidates stuck in limbo for so long. Makes it hard to build momentum on projects when you can't get the team members you need. The official line about 'taking longer' feels like a brush-off. I'm worried about how this impacts our ability to innovate and stay competitive if we can't bring in fresh talent or backfill essential roles. Hopefully, there's a clear strategy behind this, rather than just inertia.
Yeah, my team's had a couple of positions open for ages too. The recruiters are super vague, just saying 'internal review' or 'market conditions.' It's creating a lot of uncertainty, and frankly, it's demoralizing for those of us trying to keep things running smoothly with fewer hands. I've heard whispers that it might be a cost-saving measure, but it's hard to tell with the lack of communication. Feels like a slow strangulation rather than an outright freeze, which is almost worse.
