Internal opportunities drying up?

Has anyone else experienced a noticeable slowdown in internal job postings or opportunities for movement within A.O. Smith? It feels like the usual channels for career progression have become much quieter. I've been looking to move into a different area, but applications seem to be sitting in limbo, and I haven't seen many new roles posted that seem to be actively recruiting. Just wondering if this is a company-wide trend or if I'm just missing something. Curious to hear if others are seeing the same thing and what might be behind it.

I've definitely noticed a similar trend. It feels like roles are being filled internally before they even hit the general posting system, or perhaps there's just a longer review process for internal candidates. I've had a few applications go dark as well, which is frustrating when you're trying to grow your career within the company. Hopefully, things pick up soon, or at least become more transparent.

Hmm, I haven't experienced that myself, but I have heard whispers about it from a few colleagues. It's possible that with the current economic climate, there's a bit more caution around internal mobility to ensure critical roles remain staffed. Perhaps focusing on networking and directly reaching out to hiring managers in departments you're interested in might be a more effective strategy right now.
