I've noticed a similar shift. It feels like the goalposts have moved, and there's a much higher bar being set for what's considered 'good enough.' The emphasis on continuous improvement, while generally positive, seems to have morphed into this hyper-scrutiny of every task. It's definitely created a more stressful atmosphere leading up to reviews.
Totally agree. It used to be more about progress and development, but now it feels like a performance audit. I wonder if this is a company-wide directive or if individual managers are just interpreting things differently. It’s making it hard to feel appreciated for the work you *are* doing well, when the focus is so heavily on the minutiae.
