Uncertainty around the 'new' organizational structure

Lately, there's been a lot of talk about restructuring and "optimizing" how teams are set up. On the surface, it sounds like standard corporate speak, but the actual implementation feels... clunky. We're seeing roles shift, some people being asked to take on responsibilities that aren't really in their wheelhouse, and communication about who reports to whom seems to be constantly in flux. It's creating a lot of confusion and honestly, it's making it hard to get work done efficiently. People are spending more time trying to figure out the new landscape than focusing on actual projects. Has anyone else experienced this kind of "optimization"? Does it ever actually lead to anything positive, or is this just a precursor to something else?

I hear you. This 'optimization' feels more like chaos right now. My department is a mess with the new reporting lines – nobody seems to be on the same page, and we're spending more time figuring out who to ask for what than actually doing the tasks. It's definitely impacting morale and productivity. Hopefully, leadership can get a clearer picture soon and provide some stability.

Yeah, the constant shifting is exhausting. It feels like we're always waiting for the next announcement that's going to change everything again. It's hard to feel invested in your work when your role and team seem to be temporary. I'm trying to stay focused on my own tasks, but the uncertainty is a constant distraction for everyone around me.
