Hey everyone, scrolling through the usual news and saw that article about export controls and their impact on semiconductor companies. AMAT is obviously right in the thick of it. Haven't heard anything concrete about layoffs specifically at AMAT, but things feel... tense. Been hearing whispers and seeing some subdued chatter internally, but nothing substantial. Anyone in other divisions or teams hearing anything more concrete? Or is it just the general industry unease bleeding over? Trying to get a sense if this is just noise or if there's something actually brewing. Just want to be prepared, you know? Share what you know, even if it's just a gut feeling.

Yeah, I'm feeling the same unease. It's tough not having solid information, makes you second-guess everything. The export control news definitely casts a shadow, and you can't help but wonder about the downstream effects, even if there aren't official announcements yet. Just trying to stay focused on my work and hope for the best, but the 'whispers' are hard to ignore. Hoping for some clarity soon.

Totally get where you're coming from. It's that general industry vibe, for sure. The supply chain hiccups and geopolitical shifts are rattling everyone. While I haven't heard any specific rumors about layoffs within my department, there's definitely a heightened sense of caution. People are probably being more guarded with their words, which can make it seem like there's more going on than there actually is. Let's hope it's just market jitters.
