Applied Materials - Anyone else in G&AS worried?

Hi all, working in the Global Services (G&AS) division at AMAT. While the wafer fab equipment side gets a lot of the attention, I'm wondering if anyone else in G&AS is feeling the pressure? We're supposed to be a steady revenue stream, but with customers potentially slowing down CapEx or pushing out installations, I can't help but think services might be on the chopping block if things get really tight. Just heard some whispers about resource reallocations and projects being put on hold. Anyone else hearing similar things or have insights into how G&AS might be impacted by a potential downturn?

Yeah, I've been hearing similar rumblings within G&AS. It feels like there's a disconnect sometimes between the visibility of the hardware sales and the backend services, but we all know how critical field support and upgrades are. Hopefully, the whispers are just that and not a precursor to significant cuts. The nature of service contracts is often more predictable, but I agree, uncertainty is definitely in the air.

I'm in G&AS too and can definitely relate to your concerns. The whole CapEx slowdown narrative is hard to ignore, and it's natural to worry about how that trickles down to services. While I haven't seen anything concrete yet, the idea of resource reallocations is definitely something to keep an eye on. Let's hope the core value of our services keeps us insulated.
