Florida site hit - anyone else seeing movement?

Just saw the WARN notice for the Boca Raton site. 77 people gone as of August 1st. I know we’ve been hearing rumors about efficiency drives for months, but seeing the actual headcount reduction in Florida is unsettling. Is this isolated to the site or are they trimming specific product lines across the board? I've been with AMAT for four years and the atmosphere in my department has been incredibly tense lately. Nobody is talking, managers are dodging questions, and the silence is worse than the news. Has anyone heard if this is the end of it for Q3, or are we just waiting for the next shoe to drop? Trying to figure out if I should start polishing my resume this weekend or if I’m just overreacting to the news cycle.

I'm at one of the larger regional hubs and the vibe is identical. Management keeps feeding us lines about 'operational optimization' and 'aligning resources,' but we all know what that translates to. The lack of transparency is the real killer here; it breeds paranoia in every department. Honestly, if you're feeling that tension, trust your gut. Start updating your resume and quietly reach out to your network now, because once the WARN notices start appearing in one state, they rarely stop there. Don't wait for them to give you a clear answer.

That’s brutal news for the Boca team. I’ve been tracking the internal shifts here, and it feels like they are moving toward a much leaner, more aggressive structure to hit quarterly targets. It’s not just one product line; they seem to be cutting overhead everywhere they can to inflate margins. The silence from leadership is a classic move to keep everyone working until the next wave hits. Take care of yourself and look into what resources you have access to immediately. These big tech firms view us as nothing more than a line item on a spreadsheet.
