Is the Astera growth story actually sustainable?

With all the hype around AI infrastructure and our recent positioning, I’m starting to wonder if we’re actually over-hiring. I see new faces every single week, and I honestly can’t tell what half of these people are contributing to the roadmap. Don't get me wrong, the technical work is solid, but the headcount growth feels like it’s detached from reality compared to the actual revenue numbers we’re seeing. I’m concerned that if the broader semi-conductor market takes a dive or if the hyperscalers pull back on spending, we’re going to be the first ones on the chopping block. Management loves to talk about long-term vision, but vision doesn't pay the bills if the valuation takes a hit and they need to make the balance sheet look 'leaner' for Wall Street. Are we just riding the bubble, or is there actual long-term stability here? Seems like everyone is just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

It definitely feels like we’re scaling for a best-case scenario that ignores market volatility. When you look at the sheer volume of new hires compared to the actual product output, the math gets shaky. Everyone is chasing the AI hype train, but there’s a real risk that we’re bloating the organization before we’ve fully stress-tested our revenue streams. I’ve noticed the same disconnect, and it makes me wonder if leadership is prioritizing optics over long-term stability. If the hyperscalers pull back even slightly on capital expenditure, we’re going to be left holding a very expensive bag of overhead that we can’t justify to shareholders.
