Stock price cooling off - any impact on headcount?

I’ve been watching our ticker lately and the volatility is starting to make me nervous. We’ve been hiring aggressively over the last year to keep up with the AI hype cycle, but the market seems to be pricing in some serious deceleration. Does anyone have a pulse on how leadership is feeling about the current burn rate? Usually, when the stock drops like this and we've hit our recent hiring milestones, it’s only a matter of time before they start looking at 'operational efficiencies.' I love the tech we’re building, but I’ve been through a RIF before at a previous chipmaker, and the vibe in the office lately feels suspiciously quiet. Are we still full steam ahead on expansion, or has the hiring freeze finally hit behind the scenes? Would love to hear if anyone in engineering has seen a slowdown in project approvals or if we’re still just dumping cash into R&D like it’s 2022.

Management is still pushing for full speed ahead on the current product roadmap, so I wouldn't lose sleep over your position just yet. The hiring spree was strategic to capture market share, not just reactionary. Unless our next quarterly guidance completely misses the mark, the burn rate is considered an investment in scale rather than reckless spending. Keep your head down and focus on the deliverables; leadership seems more concerned with staying ahead of competitors than the daily ticker swings.
